New Online Vintage Store Launch 1/10/2013

Happy New Year everyone!!!

I have been so busy but I am thanking God for blessing me and my family to see a new year!! This  year I wanted to venture out and open an online vintage store. I've had  an ebay store  for a couple of years now that I sell some of EVERYTHING  except for clothing. When I am out shopping for stuff for my Ebay store, I ALWAYS see the most fabulous pieces of clothing and I think "I would wear that if it was my size" or "I know a few people that would LOVE this piece." So with that idea in mind, this year I decided to open up a online vintage resale store and sell the pieces I find while shopping.. I absolutely LOVE doing what I do. Atlanta has some of the most fabulous thrift stores!! I also plan on traveling in the future to major cities like LA, Miami, and etc to purchase pieces for the store.   My pastor always says, "If you are going to do something, do something you love doing. That gift God blessed you with is what is going to make you wealthy." I have always been told that I had a gift, but I never thought of it as being a gift. I just love fashion, clothing, shopping, and dressing up...LOL. The store will feature all sizes in vintage clothing, purses, shoes and one of kind fabulous unique pieces. I will be adding pieces weekly or as I find them.

So ladies make sure you check out my store!! I will be launching it on 1/10/2013. Have fun and I hope you can find something you like!!

The website will be www.divaxpress.storenvy.com

Made from Scratch Christmas Wreath!!

Happy December!!!

Hey guys, I know it has been a while since I been on my blog, but I just been so busy with school, traveling, shopping, spending time with my family and etc...LOL But I am back!! Christmas is right around the corner and I am so excited. I love to decorate my home for Christmas. I have so much stuff, and I just Love to decorate my home like it's in a winter wonderland..lol  I did get a chance to finish making one of my MANY wreaths that I am going to put up in my "pink" Christmas section in my foyer. I make at least two wreaths every year to put inside my home, and one big one for the front door.  I normally go out after Christmas and rack up and get tons of stuff for decorating, so I won't break my pockets during the Christmas Season!!

So the wreath I used, I made last year and had it over my fireplace,  but I decided to recycle it and just add new colors... The original colors I used where red and silver, and I wanted to keep the silver and just now do pink and silver. So I just took out the red and added pink!!!! So guys basically what I started out with was a plain Jane old wreath, which I got two years ago after Christmas for 4.99 on clearance!! It is huge!! I Love it, and I have a couple of them..LOL  I then went to Hobby Lobby (or you can go to Michaels) and just buy the little pieces they sell that you can stick on your Christmas tree for decoration.. (they have tons AFTER Christmas on clearance) Most of them come already in a decorative bundle so you can just add it to your wreath!! You will also need a glue gun and glue sticks. Most of the decorative bundles I brought were between 10 cents to 40 cents, 80 to 90% off!!!!  Then just glue, glue, glue until you get the look you are looking for. As far as the bow, I just took some Christmas ribbon and made my bow!!!   Check out the pics below, and just email me if you have any questions!! Don't pay all those sky high prices for a wreath!! :) Make your own FABULOUS wreath for Christmas!!!  It's SO SO easy!!

So this is the Wreath I made last year my son is holding up for me..lol.. I made it from scratch.. I added all the decorations myself!!!!

Close up of the decor on last year's wreath.

Another Close up...

This is the SAME wreath as pictured above...First, I just removed off the red pieces on the wreath and add my pink balls...Also pictured here is my glue gun, and the glue sticks...So easy and fun!!!

This is the new style I created on the wreath.. The flash is on on my camera but the final result (very last pic) will be have the flash off so you can really see the colors...

The original bow that I made last year that was also on the wreath.. (made this with Christmas Ribbon)

I added this little bundle to the bow to give it some character.. I just love it!!

This is the final product.. It came out so pretty and I can't wait to add it to my "pink" section in my home for Christmas!!! (I turned off the flash so you can get a better look at the colors)

I will be posting my pics of my other decorations around my home this month!!! Happy Holidays!!

Eventful Weekend!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Hey, Hey everyone!! I hope you guys had a great weekend!!!  We had a nice cold front that came into town on Saturday, and it is still here in Atlanta with us!! I was sad at first because I had planned to take my boys to the pumpkin patch Saturday, but it was just TOO cold. I will take them soon though.. Actually,  I can honestly say I am loving it because not only am I am tired of  HOT weather, but I am ready to put up my summer wardrobe!!...LOL I love love, fall and winter. I am looking forward to bringing out my winter boots, sweaters, coats, scarfs, and so much more! I am also looking forward to Thanksgiving and my favorite holiday, CHRISTMAS!! I will be doing alot of posts on holiday shopping, decorating, holiday parties, and so much more!!

So on Sunday, I attended the Swapnista Event which also featured the launch of the BFF Resale shop!! Basically me and my fellow BFF's will be selling some of our gently used items on a website designed just for the BFF's!! The Swapnista event was very fun. Basically, swappers would come in and check in 3 items of clothing, and then later they get too fill up their bag with super cool clothing they find during the Swap!!!. After the Swapnista party, I headed to my girl Alicia's house to join some of the other Socialite's of the fabulous group. The Socialite Society, which is a group founded by good friend Alicia. It is basically a women's social group where we explore Atlanta, socialize, shop and most importantly have fun!!! I been a member for about 2 years now and I just love it!!!  The scary party was so much fun, and we had tons of good food to eat!!! We was also able to  shop the fabulous jewelry featured by Ubran Blu!! Here are some pictures I took from the Swapnista party, and a few from the Scary Movie Party (didn't get much at the scary move party, camera died).. :(
